The next writing prompt in “God Is My Happy Place” is
“Today’s trial is tomorrow’s testimony.”
Everything we experience today is a story for tomorrow. When we go through things & God got us through, it is encouragement for us and others in the future. But only if we tell the story. Overall, it is proof to others that God is good & cares for us. Though it is also a reminder to ourselves about how God cares for us. In this blog post, I have a testimony & a poem.
Recently we were fined by the landlord for having things on our patio that are not allowed by the policy, such as a tote & a shelf that they don’t consider outdoor furniture. This was so frustrating trying to figure out what they wanted. We thought we were ok, but apparently we had misunderstood what was allowed. So we had to do some rearranging and bring the shelf in along with some of the plants. We got a new shelf in last night. I put it together and it is now on the porch. So that should solve that problem. But overall, it is actually a blessing. Some of the plants I had outside I should probably have indoors, since they probably won’t do well in summer in Phoenix. I also get to have more plants this way. Before this happened, I had been envisioning a shelf in front of the window. I just wasn’t sure I should do it. This prodded me to move forward. So, even though we had to spend a little money, this is going to turn out to be a good thing. God is working things out in every area of my life. I know this may seem like a minor example, but God works in the small as well as the big. Nothing is too big or too small for Him.

Poem
Difficult times
Rough Roads
Dark Skies
All become
Beautiful stories
Rewarded journies
Sunny days
Not instantly
But eventually
We see
God’s victory
God’s plan
God’s design
Bringing joy
And awe
Always praise Him
Tears become joy
Rain becomes sunshine
Darkness isn’t forever
Mercies are new
Thank you
