God is known as Jehovah Rapha, which means the God who heals. In the Bible, God healed people, including raising people from the dead. This happened both in the Old and the New Testament. He is still healing people today. Every issue doesn’t get healed instantly. Sometimes it is a process. Yes, God does heal instantly, but sometimes He uses doctors and medicine to heal over time. In the Bible, there are many ways that people were healed. One man was told to dip in the river 7 times (2 Kings 5). Jesus put mud in someone’s eyes and when it was washed out, he could see (John 9:1-12). Others were told to get up and walk and they did. It doesn’t always happen the way we expect it to happen, but God heals.
I’m also talking about more than just physical illness. He heals emotional, psycological, and relationship issues. He is always at work in our lives. He wants His children to be whole and healed. And He the Great Physician.
In my own life, God has healed me on many occasions. Sometimes I’ve had to take medicine and was healed over time, though He has healed me instantly at least twice that I can think of. He has healed so much in my life and I am still seeing Him do it today.
‘He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross [willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you [who believe] have been healed. ‘ 1 Peter 2:24 https://my.bible.com/bible/1588/1PE.2.24 AMP
‘Bless and affectionately praise the Lord , O my soul, And do not forget any of His benefits; Who forgives all your sins, Who heals all your diseases; ‘ Psalms 103:2-3 https://my.bible.com/bible/1588/PSA.103.2-3 AMP
