God Is My Superhero #1 Intro

I am going to do a series of posts on how God is my superhero. I’m not sure how many posts I will have in this series. There are a number of aspects of God that I want to cover. I will cover one or more aspects in each post. I may post these every couple of weeks or so as I get them done. I also still have God is My Happy Place going as well. So they will both be going simultaneously as they are ready to be posted, as well as anything else that I feel led to share. I hope you enjoy.

For this post, I have a general observation I want to share before moving on with individual characteristics and share how this series came to be.

I also want to say that I am not against superhero movies. In fact, I really enjoy superhero movies. I have my favorite fictional villians/superheroes, such as Loki, Iron Fist, Hawkeye, Daredevil, Captain America, Rogue, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Vision, Falcon. However, God is my superhero above all of these & He never fails.

I was watching a tv show about a superhero and got to wondering why characters continue to try and shoot this person who is bulletproof. Why do they continue to try? I suppose it wouldn’t be a show without that element. Then I got to further thinking about how I find people who have superpowers intriguing and these are all just fictional characters.

That got me to pondering about how God is my superhero. He is more powerful than any of these superheroes or powered people, who are fictional characters anyway. God is real. When I am in need or in trouble, I can go to Him. He is bigger than any issue I may have. There is nothing too big for Him. Why do I continue to try to do things my own way, when He already knows the best solution? It is basically going against God when I decide to be disobedient. My way never works out. Only when I do things His way and not fighting for my own way do I make progress.

There is a lot to discuss about how God is The Superhero. So I will hopefully have the next one of these done in a couple of weeks or so.

I hope you all have a blessed week.
