I have noticed a pattern with orange flowers.

A month or so ago, someone at church gave me a blue and white scarf with orange flowers, which I believe represented God blessing me in the valley.

Then my secret angel got me some bookmarks. One of them was a crocheted orange flower. At the time I was only thinking that it was pretty and went with the scarf, so I hung it on the wall next the scarf.

On my birthday, a friend painted me a card with a reddish orange flower on it. I also hung it on the wall next to the other 2 items.

It was at this point that I started noticing a pattern. I asked God if this had any meaning or significance, and if so, what it all means. I felt a nudge to google the meaning of orange flowers. So I did and what I found was very interesting.

One of the lesser known meanings is to wish for someone not to give up. Or just to say “I believe in you”. Orange flowers are for those on the “road to recovery”. They are to be an encouragement to others.

I feel so encouraged and loved. God knows how to encourage His people and is always right on time. I needed the encouragement to keep going, because it feels like things have slowed down in the weight loss department. I had become a little discouraged with the slowness. But I know that God is still working on it, even when it doesn’t look like it. These orange flowers have been a little wink from God, to let me know that He sees me and hasn’t stopped working. They are beautiful reminders of God’s faithfulness.

Thank you, Lord for seeing me and giving me encouragement. You are always with me and you always meet me where I am. Thank you for always picking me up, when I am down. You are more than magnificent.
