A Heart of Wisdom

‘Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. ‘
Psalms 90:12

Looking at my life and realizing how short it really is puts things into perspective. I see things for how important they truly are and it helps me prioritize things better and make wiser choices.

God is the only one who can satisfy. He is eternal, when everything else is temporary.

Am I setting aside that TV show/video game/social media/food to spend time with God? That temporary thing that doesn’t satisfy.
Have I made the things of this world an idol before God? Have I become to busy to number my days and gain wisdom?

In the days that I have left on this earth, however many they are, what am I doing? Am I focusing on the temporary or the eternal?

Now there is nothing wrong with a little entertainment or food. However, if it becomes a priority over God, then I need to reevaluate how I view things.

A friend of mine gave me the above coloring page that came from gwensmith.net/psalmadventure.  I colored the picture.
