“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.  Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.”  Psalm 143:8

Today, as I was waiting for my husband to get out of a job interview, I was listening to a video on how to wake up happier and since I’m not a morning person, I needed that.

However, what really caught my eye was the Scripture she used (Psalm 143:8).  It caught me in a slightly different way than the speaker was talking about.  She was referring to the morning part of it.  I caught the trust part of it.  They can go hand in hand, but I will focus on trust for the purpose of this writing.

You see, I had been getting a little discouraged, because I had put in a lot of time and submitted a lot of resumes (more than 120).  I hadn’t been hearing back from much of anyone.  For about a day or so, I was starting to worry about things, since they didn’t seem to be going as quickly as I thought they would.  It has only been 2 weeks.  I know these things take time, it’s just a little frustrating when I don’t see things happening very fast.

But as I read Psalm 143:8, I started to renew my trust in the Lord.  I started to feel better about the circumstances & to look at things like God was seeing them.  He reminded me that yesterday was a better day.  I had received a couple of call backs & 2 phone interviews.  I have 2 that sound a little hopeful.  In that one verse, God changed my point of view.

God is good. He didn’t lead us here to abandon us.  He will provide for us.  He will supply all of our needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

God is true to His word.  “For the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all He does.”  Psalm 33:4
